You also have these baby teenage mutant ninja turtles to protect you.

This is actually such a good tactic for people with serious anxiety problems. Thank you. Really. Omg.

Also immunity cat protects your blog from “if you don’t reblog I’m judging you” posts

Have you ever come across a homeless individual and felt totally uncomfortable?

You see them and you know they are in need, but you are not sure what to do. You know that handing them money is not the best thing. But, you also see that they clearly have some needs. Their lips are chapped. They are hungry. They are thirsty. They are asking for help.

How can you help?

Here is a simple idea - blessing bags.
This was such an easy project. We are now going to keep a few “Blessing Bags” in our car so that when we do happen to see someone on the streets who is homeless, we can hand them a Blessing Bag. I first learned of these bags from my friend, Julie. I am using the picture of her bags (see above) because the ones we took were taken in horrible lighting and turned out really grainy and hard to see what is inside of them.

If you’d like to make your own Blessing Bags, this is what you would need:

Gallon size Ziplock bags
items to go in the bags, such as:
chap stick
packages of tissues
toothbrush and toothpaste
comb
soap
trail mix
granola bars
crackers
pack of gum
band aids
mouthwash
coins (could be used to make a phone call, or purchase a food item)
hand wipes
you could also put in a warm pair of socks, and maybe a Starbucks gift card

Assemble all the items in the bags, and maybe throw in a note of encouragement. Seal the bags and stow in your car for a moment of providence.

This would be a great activity to do with some other families. Each family could bring one of the items going into the bags (ex: toothbrushes). Set up all the items around a table and walk around it with the ziplocks and fill the bags.

Coming to Terms

Rating: T

Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort

Pairing: Jackunzel

Warning: Slight trigger dealing with a domestic situation (not abuse or rape)

Summary: Every story has a beginning, middle, end, not necessarily in that order. For this particular couple, theirs begins here, at a beginning masked as an end–at a crossroad.

This one is dedicated especially to one of my favorite followers, florairmatylee, who is the sweetest and makes me feel super special and loved as a writer.

A shadow passed, a shadow passed, yearning, yearning,
For the fool it called a home

All things he never did are left behind
All the things his mama wished he’d bear in mind
And all his dad had hoped he’d know

That particular Saturday found the couple in a tiny bedroom situated right next to their own. Boxes, both opened and not, were scattered and stacked around the entire room, creating a mini skyline against the walls. At the moment, it looked more like a storage unit than an actual bedroom; the only indication of its purpose was seen in the light yellow wallpaper dotted with little animals.

"Honey," said the lovely, young wife, who had a set of stacking rings in her hands. "Where do you want this one?"

As he balanced a heavy container on his hip, the husband shrugged his shoulders and replied, “It doesn’t really matter. I’m sure the day care down the street would find some good use for it.”

She placed the toys in a box labeled ‘Donations’.

About a week ago I posted this.
I’ve been getting horrible messages like this in my ask for months, including:

and my personal favorite

After getting the message saying “Just go kill yourself” I was completely done dealing with this person’s horrible messages and replied with just an “Okay.” and logged off tumblr.
About a week later I logged back on with 17 messages in my ask, most of them from the anon. I scrolled down and at first when I logged off, the anon messaged me things like

I scrolled up more and all of a sudden they started sending me more and more messages like

This was extremely surprising to me. I thought “After all those horrible messages you sent to me for MONTHS about hating me and wanting me dead, you say ‘sorry’ and that you ‘cant be responsible for someone’s suicide’?”
But I guess the lesson goes like this:
DONT TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED FOR WHAT MIGHT ACTUALLY HAPPEN

DON’T TELL ANYONE TO KILL THEMSELVES EVER.

THIS POST IS SO IMPORTANT I WANT EVERYONE ON TUMBLR IN THE WORLD TO SEE IT

This needs to be reblogged. I couldn’t scroll past this if I tried, I got a message like that but not for me, it told me to my friend to kill them self, I was livid! I didn’t answer it because a message like that doesn’t deserve an answer but I don’t see what is so funny about telling someone to kill them selves! I really don’t! It’s sick and it’s wrong. This person though, I take my hat off to you. You taught that bully a lesson.

Lesson learned: Cowardice runs all the way down in these anons.
